07 Nov New Eco-Friendly Material Serves as a Leather Alternative
If you are looking for a more eco-friendly car, you may soon have more to consider than whether or not the vehicle is a hybrid or a gas guzzler. In fact, Eastern Textiles has recently announced that it has a new “recycled leather” product available to manufacturers. While the recycled leather, which is called ORGANICS, is currently being marketed more toward furniture manufacturers and interior design firms, it is likely it will soon be showing up in vehicles as well.
According to a press release, the new product is made from “post-industrial” leather material, making it a sustainable product that still meets or exceeds the specifications for use in consumer products. In fact, the company claims that the product actually improves upon some of the characteristics associated with traditional leather. This is because it utilizes a woven polyester center that allows the product to be stronger than traditional leather. At the same time, it offers a polyurethane topcoat that serves as a protective barrier against abrasion.
ORGANICS is already available in a wide variety of colors, but is currently only available through certain authorized distributors. Yu can actually get a sample of the product, however, by calling Robert Fazekas, who is the President of Eastern Textiles, at 973-207-7654 or by emailing him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
