Opinion: Chrysler and Fiat Deal Doesn’t Make Sense

Jerry Flint reports on the Chrysler/Fiat merger the U.S. Government has advised. His take? "This deal makes no sense to me."
With current Fiat technology needing an overhaul to meet U.S. safety standards, American-produced Fiat cars in Chrysler plants could take up to 3 years, and Jerry believes Chrysler could just re-invest in itself to come up with better cars in the same timeframe.
