North Carolina Drivers see Car Insurance Rate Hike

Newsobserver.com reports that tens of thousands of North Carolina residents are getting more bads news in this slumping economy.
One resident opened his auto insurance bill to find a shocking $184 increase! What caused this sudden turn for the worse?
On January 1, a law requiring insurance for uninsured or underinsured motorists came into effect in the state, with some residents feeling the pinch of the increase. The new law also requires that auto owners have the same amount of coverage for underinsured motorists as they do for liability claims.
