A new screen protector has just been released by NuShield that you may soon see inside your vehicle.  The protector is a simple overlay film that can be placed on an LCD screen in order to keep it protected from scratches.  At the same time, it has an anti-reflective property that makes it possible to easily read devices with an LCD display when used outdoors.

According to a press release about the product,  it has a sticky backing that makes it easy to apply to any device with an LCD screen.  This includes PC tablets, digital cameras, cell phones, laptops and GPS systems inside of vehicles.  It is also being tested for use on sea-going vessels as well as for military use.

In addition to offering anti-reflective properties, the screen protector also provides brightness enhancement while also improving the contrast.  As a result, LCD screens are easier to see and to read from a variety of different angles.  In addition, since the display brightness is improved with the screen protector, the power requirements needed to increase the display brightness can be reduced and the life of the device’s batteries can be extended.

According to the manufacturer, the screen protecting film can last anywhere from six to twelve months depending upon usage.  With the protector in place, it can provide devices with protection from gouges, dust, scratches and more.  In addition, the film is capable of filtering out 99% of UV light so it is not reflected back into the user’s eyes.
